Day 8:

Dude, I woke up at 4.30am, naturally. My days start so early here. Most schools in the area start at 8, as do most jobs in the city, but you’ve gotta clean the house and do all the home logistics like receive water into the polytank etc. all before you leave. Even when you leave you’ve got to navigate the heavy traffic because all roads lead to Kwame Nkrumah Circle which is now under-reconstruction. Ghanaians who remember the fountain roundabout, will be sad to know it has now been smashed to smithereens and in its place will be a 3-tier flyover highway network monstrosity. For more info, I nicked the following video from here.

The African Renaissance is a concrete one, but how sustainable or eco-friendly it will be has not been given much thought.
